Liability insurance for vehicles with Mexican license plates for damages caused to third parties in property and persons while traveling in the United States and Canada.
Canada has no-fault laws which could affect your ability to recover damages to your vehicle in the event of a not at-fault accident
Purchase Requirements:
- No commercial vehicles or vehicles with a capacity of more than 9 passengers are allowed.
- The insured holder must be the person in whose name the vehicle registration card is issued, if another person is driving the vehicle, he/she must be added as an additional driver.
- The driver's license of the holder and drivers must be Mexican and current.
- Drivers under 21 years of age and over 74 years of age must be expressly declared and will be subject to the application of an additional premium.
- Vehicles older than 30 years will be subject to an additional premium.

The NATIONAL UNITY INSURANCE policy covers third party damages (liability) while the insured vehicle is circulating within the United States or Canada, has Mexican license plates and whose owner permanently resides in Mexico.
For long term product policies, exclusion I. F) is eliminated by the endorsement NU-PALT.
This insurance policy DOES NOT cover vehicles with more than 9 passengers, carry any type of cargo, or that is used for comercial purposes.
This insurance policy is not valid if the driver has an expired drivers license.
